BPM Counter for Palm OS Description The BPM counter for Palm OS allows you quickly figure out the BPM (beats per minute) of a song. Simply tap the TAP button (at least twice) and the program will calculate the duration between taps and translate it into beats per minute. ![]() The algorithm takes the average duration between two successive taps for the last ten taps (or less than that if you haven't tapped it ten times yet). This stabilizes the BPM reading but is still subject to user-tap error. So don't depend on this application for strict beat matching purposes (use your ears). It will give you a good idea of the BPM of a song though. Tap on the CLEAR button to restart the alrogrithm and clear out the values stored for averaging. Download Copy the file BPMCounter.prc to your hardrive.
Installation Use the BPMCounter.prc file with your Palm OS installation application on your PC to install the prc file to your Palm Pilot on your next synchronization. License This application is totally free. Share it with your friends and send comments if you like. The program is fairly simple so it shouldn't break anything, however Timothy Wisdom is not responsible for any damage that is caused to your Palm Pilot from the use of this program. |
